About the Role

A well-regarded school in Uxbridge is looking for an organised, proactive and confident School Administrator to join its busy school office on a full-time temporary basis.

The successful candidate will provide essential administrative and operational support, working closely with staff, students, parents and visitors to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the school.

You will work alongside the Admissions Administrator and provide administrative support to the Senior Leadership Team (SLT), particularly in relation to attendance monitoring and student records.

Key Responsibilities

• Providing general administrative and office support across the school
• Monitoring and maintaining accurate student attendance records
• Supporting the SLT with attendance monitoring and follow-up processes
• Maintaining and updating student records and databases
• Supporting admissions administration where required
• Providing reception cover on a rota basis
• Responding professionally and efficiently to enquiries from parents, students, staff and external visitors
• Supporting student welfare and pastoral administration where required
• Preparing correspondence and maintaining accurate records
• Collating meeting and interview packs
• Photocopying, scanning, filing and completing general office duties
• Supporting the smooth operation of the school office on a daily basis
• Using Excel and spreadsheets to maintain and analyse administrative data
• Creating and working with graphs, reports and spreadsheets based on Excel data

Essential Requirements

• Recent experience working as a School Administrator or within a school office environment
• A current Enhanced DBS
• Excellent organisational and administrative skills
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to maintain accurate records
• Confident communication skills when dealing with staff, parents, students and visitors
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including spreadsheets, data and graphs
• Ability to work independently while also contributing effectively to a busy school team
• Immediate availability

Desirable

• Previous experience using Arbor or a similar school management information system
