School Site Manager

Location: Tamworth
Contract Type: Full-time, Temporary (long term ongoing)
Start Date: Wednesday 2nd September 2026
Working Hours: Monday–Thursday, 6:00am–2:00pm; Friday, 6:00am–1:30pm

We are seeking a proactive and dependable Site Manager to join a school in the Tamworth area. This hands-on role is vital to ensuring the smooth running, safety, security, and general maintenance of the school site.

The ideal candidate will have strong practical skills, excellent organisational abilities, and a commitment to maintaining a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for staff and pupils.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee the day-to-day maintenance, security, and general upkeep of the school site.
• Carry out minor repairs, general DIY tasks, and gritting when required.
• Manage and monitor Health & Safety compliance, including fire alarm testing, Legionella checks, and risk assessments.
• Ensure the site is clean, safe, secure, and fully operational.
• Liaise with contractors and suppliers as required.
• Support school events with setup, breakdown, and general site logistics.
• Maintain accurate records of maintenance, inspections, and compliance activities.

Key Requirements

• Previous experience as a School Caretaker, Site Manager, or in a similar facilities/maintenance role.
• Strong maintenance and practical DIY skills.
• A good understanding of Health & Safety and compliance requirements, including Fire Safety and Legionella.
• Organised, reliable, and able to manage workload independently.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Must hold a current Enhanced DBS.
• Must be available to start on Wednesday 2nd September 2026.
