Contract: Full-time, Temporary – initial 10-week contract
Start Date: September 2026

We are seeking two experienced Agriculture Lecturers to join an education provider in Ipswich on an initial 10-week temporary contract.

Position 1 – Arable & Agricultural Machinery

The successful candidate will have strong knowledge and practical experience within arable agriculture and agricultural machinery.

You should be confident delivering practical training and demonstrating the safe and effective operation of agricultural machinery, including:

• Tractor operation and driving
• Ploughing and cultivation
• Hitching and operating trailers and other implements
• Safe use and operation of agricultural machinery
• Practical application of arable farming techniques
• Crop production and management

Practical industry experience operating agricultural machinery is essential for this position.

Position 2 – Livestock

The successful candidate will have relevant livestock industry experience and recent teaching experience, with the ability to teach Level 3 or higher Agriculture/Livestock learners.

You will be expected to deliver engaging and practical lessons that develop learners’ theoretical knowledge, practical skills and understanding of modern livestock production.

Essential Requirements

The successful candidates will have:

• Recent experience teaching Agriculture
• A recognised teaching qualification
• Ideally, a Level 3 qualification or higher in a relevant subject area, alongside relevant industry experience
• For the Arable/Machinery position, demonstrable practical experience operating agricultural machinery
• Experience teaching Level 3 or higher learners where applicable
• An Enhanced DBS certificate, preferably registered with the Update Service
• GCSE Maths and English at Grade 4/C or above, or equivalent Level 2 qualifications
• Availability to start in September 2026
