Attendance & Inclusion Manager

Permanent | 40 hours per week, term time plus up to 5 additional days (40 weeks per year)
Monday to Friday, 8.00 am – 4.30 pm
Grade D | FTE £27,780 – £30,564 | Actual Salary £26,348 – £28,989

The Opportunity

Our client, an outstanding and highly successful all-through school, is seeking a compassionate, resilient and organised Attendance and Inclusion Manager to support pupils experiencing Emotionally Based School Avoidance (EBSA) and other barriers to education.

This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference to young people’s lives, helping them rebuild confidence, improve attendance and successfully re-engage with learning. Working closely with pupils, families, school staff and external agencies, you will coordinate personalised, evidence-based programmes that support successful reintegration into mainstream education.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver the Attendance and Inclusion Manage for identified pupils.
• Develop, implement and review individual reintegration plans.
• Build positive and trusting relationships with pupils and families.
• Support pupils’ emotional wellbeing, resilience and school engagement.
• Monitor attendance, progress and programme outcomes.
• Maintain accurate records and case management documentation.
• Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SEND teams and external professionals.
• Contribute to safeguarding and pupil wellbeing processes.

Candidate Profile

Our client is looking for someone who:

• Experience in education, pastoral care, SEND, youth work or a similar child-focused setting.
• Has a strong understanding of EBSA, child development and safeguarding.
• Can build effective relationships with children, families and professionals.
• Demonstrates empathy, patience, resilience and emotional intelligence.
• Has excellent communication, organisational and time-management skills.
• Is passionate about inclusion and achieving positive outcomes for every child.
• Holds GCSE Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics.
• Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to a vehicle for work purposes.

Desirable

• Experience supporting attendance, inclusion or school reintegration.
• Experience working with neurodiverse children and young people.
• Relevant qualifications in education, youth work, SEND, mental health or child development.
• Training in trauma-informed, restorative or therapeutic approaches.
