SEN Learning Support Assistant (LSA) - EYFS

Location: Burnham-on-Crouch, Essex
Start Date: ASAP
Duration: Approximately 3 weeks
Hours: Full-time, school hours

We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Learning Support Assistant to provide 1:1 support for an EYFS-aged child with additional behavioural needs in a primary school setting.

This is an excellent opportunity for a patient, resilient and nurturing individual who has experience supporting young children with SEN and behavioural challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide consistent 1:1 support to an EYFS pupil.
• Help manage and positively support challenging behaviour.
• Promote engagement in learning and classroom activities.
• Work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement support strategies.
• Foster a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.

Requirements:

• Previous experience working as an SEN Teaching Assistant or LSA.
• Experience supporting children with behavioural needs.
• Strong behaviour management skills and a calm, patient approach.
• Ability to build positive relationships and establish trust with young children.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to obtain one).
