About the Role

Teem Recruitment is working with a well-established engineering and manufacturing business in Barrow-in-Furness to recruit a qualified or part-qualified NDT Technician to join its growing inspection team.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out non-destructive testing and inspection activities in line with approved procedures and customer specifications
• Conduct visual inspections and report on findings accurately
• Complete inspection reports and quality documentation
• Ensure compliance with company quality standards and industry regulations
• Work closely with production, engineering and quality teams
• Support continuous improvement initiatives within the inspection department
• Maintain testing equipment and work areas to required standards

Essential Requirements

• Qualified or part-qualified NDT Technician
• Previous experience within an engineering, manufacturing, fabrication or industrial environment
• Understanding of non-destructive testing principles and inspection procedures
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards
• Good communication and teamwork skills

Desirable Qualifications & Experience

• PCN certification in one or more NDT disciplines
• Experience in Dye Penetrant Testing (PT/DPI/LPI)
• Experience in Magnetic Particle Inspection (MT/MPI)
• Ultrasonic Testing (UT) experience
• Aerospace, defence, marine or heavy engineering sector experience
• Knowledge of quality management systems and traceability requirements
