Our client has a vacancy for a Maternity Cover, Teacher of Geography to join their school. This is an exciting opportunity to join a successful team, in a forward thinking, high achieving school, which focuses on raising achievement. Geography is taught at Key Stage 3 and is also a popular option at Key Stage 4 and 5. A level teaching may also be available. Applications from ECTs will be welcome

Qualifications/Experience/Requirements
• to form effective relationships with pupils, teaching staff, parents and other professionals
• To ensure appropriate assessment and regular monitoring of pupils
• To teach the National Curriculum and other programmes of study effectively, mindful of the needs and responses of the pupils
• To provide an attractive and stimulating classroom environment through display and classroom management
• To promote and develop good working and learning habits in pupils
• To assess and record pupils’ work, progress and attainment in line with school and examination board policies
• To make full use of a variety of materials, books and equipment
• To ensure that stock materials are used wisely and equipment is used with care and consideration
• To work as part of the Geography team of teachers
Candidates must be DBS cleared or eligible
