Due to continued growth, our client is looking to recruit an Assistant Quantity Surveyor to join its commercial team. Operating across a diverse portfolio of residential, commercial, industrial and public sector projects, the business has built a strong reputation throughout Cumbria and the North West.

This opportunity would suit an ambitious individual looking to build a long-term career in quantity surveying. Working alongside experienced commercial professionals, the successful candidate will gain exposure to estimating, procurement, cost control, valuations, variations and contract administration across a range of construction projects.

About You

The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate:

• An interest in pursuing a career in quantity surveying or construction commercial management
• A construction-related qualification, be working towards one, or possess relevant industry experience
• Good numerical, analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and organisational abilities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• The ability to work effectively as part of a team
• A full UK driving licence or be working towards obtaining one
