Managing Director, Claire Brennan, started TEEM Recruitment over 10 years ago.
Claire has a long history of working in recruitment. It all began when she stumbled into a recruitment position 20 years ago working for an agency who recruited trades personnel. Claire started as an administrator working out of a portacabin onsite at BAE whilst the recruitment was being done in Manchester. As the main point of contact onsite, Claire quickly realised a lot of contractors had friends and family looking for work, meaning she gradually transitioned to a recruitment role.
The number of contractors grew (at one time there were 600!) so someone needed to manage the site office, and the rest is history! This extremely fast-paced and busy environment gave Claire the recruitment bug and she found she absolutely loved it! She went on to manage an agency who supplied mainly engineering personnel, then decided to open her own business, something she had always aspired to do.
Claire now specialises in recruiting for our local and technical jobs. She always gets a buzz out of delivering the good news that one of our candidates has been successful!
When Claire isn’t in the office, she loves to be outdoors. She tells us “Because I have a desk-based job, I like to get outside in the fresh air as much as possible, I love walking and am really lucky to live a stone’s throw from the beach; I try to get there most days (rain, wind or shine).”

Favourite book: Just started Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver, so far I can’t put it down
Most annoying habit: Daydreaming
Favourite place to visit: I am a bit of a Francophile and love anywhere on the French Riviera & Paris
Favourite Food / Restaurant: The nicest restaurant I have ever been to is Beige Alain Ducasse/Chanel in Tokyo. Locally I like Peace and Loaf; they hold a pizza night once a week
