How to work with a Recruitment Agency
If you haven’t worked with a Recruitment Agency before, we know it can be a daunting prospect. We’ve put together a short guide on how to get the best out of your relationship with your Recruitment Consultant.
Send us your CV:
Send us an up-to-date CV. Cover your employment history, qualifications and skills. It can also be helpful to include a few interests; this can give you something to discuss conversationally at the interview stage.
Be honest:
We genuinely want to know what sort of role you are looking for so that we can find the right job for you. Tell us your requirements; full-time / part-time, hybrid, salary, why you are looking to move jobs, what you are looking for in your next role.
Communicate:
We’re on the phone a lot, but we understand you might not always be able to answer the phone when we call. We’re happy to be in touch via email, messages, or to call at a time prearranged time that fits into your day. Just let us know what works for you.
Show-up:
If we’ve got an interview scheduled, whether in person, by phone, or on Teams, it’s vital that you are there or available on time and prepared. But, if you change your mind about an interview beforehand, just let us know. We will talk to the interviewer and explain; it’s better for everyone to let the interviewer know than to have a no-show!
Ask:
There’s bound to be questions throughout the recruitment process, and possibly into the first few weeks of employment.
