Teem Recruitment Celebrates 10 Years of Trading!
Local recruitment agency Teem Recruitment this month celebrates it’s 10-year anniversary of Trading. They are an independent employment agency who deal with both temporary and permanent job vacancies locally and nationally. Teem first opened doors for trading on the 5th January 2015 and was founded by local lass, Claire Brennan.
Claire brought over 20-years’ experience recruiting for engineering and trades personnel mainly within the shipbuilding, nuclear and manufacturing industries. She had long held an ambition to own and run her own business.
Ten years on and Teem are going from strength to strength.
Claire credits the Company’s success to “a strong industry knowledge, an extremely loyal customer base, brilliant staff, both past and present, in particular Recruitment Manager Mark Roketzky who has worked alongside me since the beginning, and of course a little bit of luck!”
Trading both locally and nationally, some of their statistics are mad!
Over the past 10 years they have had over 10,000 job vacancies and currently have over 15,000 active candidates on their books. Mark alone has booked in over 1,000 job interviews ……. So, to say they have been busy is an understatement!
Looking back over the last 10 years:
What were the biggest challenges setting up your own business? At the very beginning it was quite scary. The initial decision to leave a well-paid job and start up on my own with very little capital was probably the hardest part. Financially the first year whilst establishing the brand was the toughest, and it took a full 12 months before I was able to pay myself any salary!
What has given you the most satisfaction running your own business? Seeing a concept (daydream) grow into reality. I am really proud of the business and of its core values, and 10 years trading is a huge milestone.
Recruitment Manager, Mark, tells us “The last 10 years have flown by, I feel proud to have been part of a new business which has grown into an established recruitment agency both locally and nationally. It is like a second family for me, we all get on, work hard and be there for each other! I’m hoping the next 10 years will be as successful, where we can grow even more and carry on assisting our clients and candidate’s needs.”
Looking ahead to what the future holds for Teem, Claire said “It’s difficult to predict the future, especially in today’s volatile climate, but hopefully the business has been sufficiently future proofed with an emphasis on keeping up with technology, social trends and ever-changing employment legislation. I think it’s vital to keep looking forward and to have ambition”.
